Angeles Crest Forest Storage Sheds

Client: Caltrans

Category: Public Works

Location: Angeles Crest Forest, CA

About the Client:

Caltrans, or the California Department of Transportation, manages more than 50,000 miles of California’s highway and freeway lanes, provides inter-city rail services, permits more than 400 public-use airports and special-use hospital heliports, and works with local agencies. They provide a safe, sustainable, integrated and efficient transportation system to enhance California’s economy and livability.

Caltrans tasked SGV Construction with constructing and modernizing two storage sheds in the Angeles Crest Forest, an area that offers natural environments, spectacular scenery, developed campgrounds and picnic areas, swimming, fishing, skiing and the solitude of quiet wilderness areas.

 SGV’s Solutions:

SGV constructed one (1) new storage shed and modernized an existing storage shed. They constructed the concrete bunker walls and masonry building walls. SGV finished by installing the metal structure, sheeting, vehicle/pedestrian doors and windows and electrical.
